How can we internationalize the curriculum?
COIL courses
Collaborative Online International Learning. These are online courses that are done in conjunction with an international partner, which aims to study a topic and develop a work in which students from both universities interact with each other.
DURATION
4 to 6 weeks
TYPE OF SESSION
Virtual, with at least 2 synchronous sessions and the others can be synchronous or asynchronous.
ACADEMIC CERTIFICATION
Recognized in the UCT in the academic commitments as type B, Improvement of teaching indicators, specifically as B.1- Implementation or follow-up of course transformation processes. To be considered as course transformation, at least 4 weeks of class or one module/unit must have been modified.
Mirror Classes
The mirror classes include the participation of an international lecturer, who will give a lecture to UCT students, and a UCT lecturer, who will give a lecture at a foreign university.

Virtual synchronous
ACADEMIC CERTIFICATION
Recognized in the UCT in the academic commitments as type B, Improvement of teaching indicators, specifically as B.1- Implementation or follow-up of course transformation processes. To be considered as course transformation, at least 4 weeks of class or one module/unit must have been modified.
Masterclass
These are classes that complement the training activity. A conference is held with an international expert to deepen the knowledge of a specific topic.

INTERNATIONALIZATION FOR SOCIETY
The Directorate of International Relations, within its strategic axes is the Internationalization for Society in order to contribute to the strengthening of intercultural coexistence in La Araucanía, based on the scientific knowledge available in the UCT. To position the university as the main alternative for the formation of management capacities in the territory that will allow the subnational government to assume greater attributions and favor national and regional decentralization. Strengthen the international position of the university based on an internationalization strategy according to the guidelines of the institutional mission.


RESEARCH AND POSTGRADUATE
The research work at the Universidad Católica de Temuco is oriented to the development of scientific activities that support the modernization and adaptation processes of the productive structures of La Araucanía as well as the improvement of the economic and social development levels of southern Chile, considering the local characteristics, the complexity of the knowledge construction processes affected by environmental conditions, the pace of technology transfer, the obtaining of licenses and patents, and the development of technology-based enterprises.
The Catholic University of Temuco develops its graduate programs responding with quality and relevance to the training needs of the scientific communities and to the specialization demands of professionals in various productive sectors.
