DIRECTION OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
The Directorate of International Relations (DRI) reports to the Office of the Vice-Rector for Liaison and Public Engagement and is a services and management unit in charge of leading the internationalization process of our University, strengthening the UCT seal and institutional vision.
It promotes the development of plans and actions that contribute to the positioning of the institution at national and international level, and enrich teaching, research, management and the linkage of the University with the environment, in order to contribute significantly to the university community and the territory.
INTERNATIONALIZATION OF THE UNIVERSITY
The Catholic University of Temuco has incorporated a global and intercultural dimension in its management, projecting its institutional capacities and those of its territory to the rest of the country and the world. Promoting dialogue and genuine encounter between diverse knowledge and cultures, as well as the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals for the development of the region and its inhabitants.

Internationalization for Society
Contribute to the strengthening of intercultural coexistence in La Araucanía, based on the scientific knowledge available at the UCT. To position the university as the main alternative for the formation of management capacities in the territory that will allow the subnational government to assume greater attributions and favor national and regional decentralization. Strengthen the international position of the university based on an internationalization strategy according to the guidelines of the institutional mission.
Internationalization within the Institution
Establish protocols to articulate the processes and activities related to the linkage with the regional, national and international environment. And generate quality certification processes on compliance with international standards.
Internationalization of the Curriculum
Install a cross-cutting training plan to identify current capacities to internationalize the curriculum. In addition to integrating the SDG 2030 as a framework for action to ensure relevant and relevant training for students. And strengthen the internationalization of continuing education and graduate programs. Promoting international networks and international faculty.
Internationalization of Research
Position and make visible the science and research produced at UCT, in order to increase the production of new knowledge and increase its impact on the regional, national and international environment. Improve the quality and impact of scientific production by linking with strategic centers of excellence and nationally and internationally recognized scientific networks. Increase the attraction of national and international advanced human capital to install in the UCT greater capacities in research, scientific production, training of new researchers and dissemination of science.
Mobility of the University Community
Update the regulations for recognizing international studies. Establish an adequate structure to receive international students and scholars. And develop strategies to make visible and promote the mobility of academics, students and staff at national and international level, in face-to-face and virtual modalities.
